It turns out that there is free internet onboard the train. It also turns out to be a train with lovely, gorgeous old cars with wood panelling and plenty of baggage space. Gosh! I biked over to the Nova area where all the big superstores are, and came rolling down the slope to the underpass under the road. Too fast to brake -- and ended up in a vast puddle under the road bridge that was at least 20-25 cm deep and many metres long. When I arrived in Gbg yesterday and made my way to frualeydis's home, I found out about the terrible thing in Norway, which had happened while I was on the train. Did I say I was dissatisfied with Skånetrafiken? I TAKE IT ALL BACK. I've just been to Gothenburg, and boy do we have well-organised, well-functioning public transport here, in comparison! I was going to take the 9.22 train for Gothenburg, but the #&%€&@ bus to the station never arrived, so I missed it! When I realised it was late, I tried to hitch a ride from passing cars, but nobody stopped, even though I was well dressed in a very nice coat and hat (a warm hat, not the top hat) and didn't look like a homicidal maniac at all ( Read more... )
